Eggs consumption is packed with protein. They are readily available, easy to cook and the cheapest source of nutrition. Eggs consumption consider as the perfect food. However, eggs consumption with other food can help the body to absorb vitamins properly.

Are they really so beneficial? People call eggs good and bad. For years eating eggs has been controversial due to their high cholesterol content.

Some studies found eating in excessive amounts can cause heart diseases.

Does it really mean eggs have a bad side? Or they can harm us?

Before we judge them we need to look closely at cholesterol.

They are important in making cells and help the body to make Vitamin D with testosterone and estrogen.

Our liver and intestine produce all the cholesterol we need, but it is also found in animal products such as beef prawns, eggs, and cheese butter.

It is carried around the body in our blood by different types of lipoprotein.

And that is important because it’s responsible for the terms good and bad cholesterol.

Firstly researches have not linked consuming cholesterol with heart diseases. But they are worried about how we consume saturated and Trans fats.

High quantity of cholesterol found in snacks margarine or some deep-fried or baked cook. Trans fats can increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases because they boost our LDL cholesterol level and also known as bad cholesterol.

 However, eggs are the only food high in cholesterol but low in saturated fat. 

And that leads to us on HDL, good cholesterol, which is beneficial for us.

It could have a protective effect against cardiovascular diseases by preventing other cholesterol from building in blood.

If you ever had a cholesterol test you will know it is the ratio of HDL to LDL that matters.

Dietary cholesterol isn’t a problem.

And a review of 40 studies in 2015 found no conclusive link between dietary cholesterol and heart diseases. So, it makes sense that research by the University of Connecticut found no link between eating eggs and cardiovascular diseases.

So one of the world’s favorite breakfast food finally out of hot water.

Well, one recent study found out that an additional half an egg per day was linked to a higher risk of heart diseases. While one previous analysis of half a million adults in China found the exact opposite.

Eggs consumption was associated with heart diseases. Eggs are a good source of lutein a pigment that improves eyesight.

They protect us from Alzheimer’s diseases. But recent studies have found egg consumption leads to better health and they are not harmful.
